Listen

After leaving Wrexham in 2011, footballer Marc Williams saw his personal and professional life hit hard by gambling harm. As part of our partnership with EPIC Risk Management, we made the trip to the STōK Racecourse Ground to produce a feature on a workshop delivered by Williams to the current first team.

Create

The production began in Williams’ car, documenting the drive to his former club. He discussed his time growing up in North Wales supporting Wrexham, the significance of his current role, and more.

During the presentation, we captured the players’ reactions to his hard-hitting lived experience story, which describes the issues that gambling caused to both his own career, and personal life. After the workshop was concluded, we captured interviews with players Aaron Hayden and Eliot Lee who described the impact it had on them.

Deliver

We delivered a four-minute piece to EPIC Risk Management to use on their social platforms, with Wrexham the latest club featured as part of their ongoing arrangement to provide safer gambling to players at every EFL club.

We’re really pleased with not only the end product but the entire process. The team clearly understand our industry and demonstrated why they are regarded as industry leaders throughout the journey. The final videos have gone down really well with clubs and fans alike, and deliver on all of our initial objectives and beyond.

We’ve used JMP for several years and what makes them so great is not just the quality of their work, but the brilliance of their people. The culture of the business clearly shines through. The work is always a fantastic standard, on brief, on time, innovative and creative. Five stars.
